9 नवम्बर 2000 को उत्तराखड राज्य उत्तरप्रदेश से अलग होकर देश का 27 वा राज्य बना इसकी राजधानी देहरादून है उत्तराखंड एक खूबसूरत जगह है जिसे देवभूमि के नाम से जाना जाता है यहाँ गढ़वाल और कुमाऊं के रूप में दो मंडलो विभाजित किये गये है यहाँ की संस्कृति यहाँ के लोगों की एक अलग ही पहचान करती है विभिन्न परंपराएं, मेले, त्यौहार, लोक नृत्य, संगीत ऐसे हैं जो उन्हें बाकी भीड़ से अलग करते हैं। उत्तराखंड के निवासियों को अपनी संस्कृति पर गर्व है, जिसका वह के लोग पालन करते हैं उत्तराखंड राज्य की सुंदरता यह है कि इसमें एक छत के नीचे कई उप-समूहों और जातीय समूहों के लोग एक साथ रहते हैं यहा के पहाड़ यहाँ की नदिया इसकी अलग ही पहचान बनाते है पहाड़ो के बीच खूबसूरत हरे भरे पेड़ लोगो को अपनी और आकर्षित करते है यहाँ दूर दूर से लोग घूमने आते है उत्तराखंड में बर्फ से ढकी चोटिया, ग्लेशियर, गहरी घाटिया, नदिया, सुंदर झील इसकी खूबसूरती को और भी निखरती है। दुनिया के सबसे ऊंचे पहाड़ उत्तराखंड में पाए जाते हैं।

यहाँ के लोगो की पारम्परिक पोशाक 

यहाँ रहने वाले लोगों द्वारा पहनी जाने वाली पोशाकें उनके बाद की संस्कृति और परंपराओं को दर्शाती हैं और वहां रहने वाले समुदायों के बारे में एक उचित विचार है। उत्तराखंड पंजाब, बंगाली, तिब्बती और नेपाली सहित विभिन्न समुदायो के लोग रहते है। गढ़वाल के निवासियों के पास जगह के ठंडे मौसम के कारण कपड़े पहनने का अपना अलग ही अंदाज है जिसके परिणामस्वरूप भेड़ या बकरी से प्राप्त ऊन का उपयोग ऊनी कपड़े तैयार करने के लिए किया जाता है यहाँ महिलाये साडी और पुरुष कुरता पजामा पहनते है

                                  गढ़वाल की सस्कृति 

उत्तराखंड को जब दो भागो में विभजित किया गया एक भाग गढ़वाल जिसमे उत्तराखड के ७ जिल चमोली, उत्तरकशी, देहरादून, पौढ़ी, टिहरी, हरिद्वार, रुद्रप्रयाग गढ़वाल ऊचे पहाडो ठन्डे मौसम हरी भरी घाटियों के बीच बहती नदी के लिए प्रसिद्ध है दुनिया भर से लोग यहाँ इसकी  देखने के लिए हर साल आते है यहाँ के कई गावो में बहुत प्राचीन लकड़ी से की गयी कलाकारिया आज भी गढ़वाल के कुछ दरवाजों पर देखी जा सकती है। गढ़वाली भाषा यहाँ बोली जाने वाली मुख्य भाषा है कहा जाता है कि गढ़वाली भाषा की उत्पत्ति- सौरासेनी प्राकृत, संस्कृत और पश्चिमी या मध्य पहाड़ी भाषा के संयोजन से हुई है यहाँ कई जाती धर्मो के लोग रहते है जिसमे राजपूत भी शामिल है जो की आर्यन मूल के है राजपूत का अर्थ है राजा का पुत्र आज गढ़वाली राजपूत पूरी दुनिया में पाए जाते है यहां के लोगो को दुनिया में गढवालियो के नाम से जाना जाता है कुछ लोग इन्हे पहाड़ी के नाम से भी जानते है गढ़वाल में लगभग ९९% हिन्दू लोग रहते है जो की आज पहाड़ो से दुनिया भर में पलायन कर चुके है गढ़वाल में लगभग सभी जातियों के लोग रहते है यहाँ एक पहाड़ से दुसरे पहाड़ को देखने के बाद ऐसा महसूस होता है वहां पहुंच कर हम बदलो को छू सकते है यहाँ की साफ हवा और नदियों का बहता हुआ पानी प्रकृति की देन है यहा के हर परिवार से एक लड़का भारतीय सीमा पर भारत की रक्षा करता है जो भारतीय सेना का हिस्सा होता है यहाँ के लड़को में बचपन से ही फौज में जाने का जूनून होता है और इसके लिए वो पहले से ही मेहनत करते रहते है उत्तराखंड में स्थित लैंसडौन छेत्र जहा गढ़वाल रेजिमेंट का मुख्यालय स्थित है  यहाँ लोगो को मन में एक अलग ही शांति मिलती है यहाँ का साफ वातावरण लोगो को यहाँ बार बार आने को प्रेरित करता है यहाँ घूमने के लिए तीर्थ सस्थल मौजूद है हरिद्वार यहाँ लोग दूर दूर से गंगा स्नान के लिए आते है कहा जाता है कि गंगा स्नान करने से व्यक्ति के पाप धुल जाते है और उसकी शारीरिक बीमारिया समाप्त हो जाती है

कुमाऊँनी संस्कृति

कुमाऊ में उत्तराखंड के ६  जिले है जिनमे नैनीताल, अल्मोड़ा, पिथौरागढ़, उधम सिह नगर, चम्पावत, बागेश्वर है यह मंडल भी गढ़वाल की तरह अपनी प्राकृतिक खूबसूरती के लिए विख्यात है यहाँ के लोग बहुत दयालु होते है यहां भी सभी धर्मो के लोग पाए जाते है इतने धर्मो के लोगो के बावजूद भी यह मंडल एकता की भावना प्रकट करता है यहा घूमने के अनेक स्थल है उनमे  से एक नैनीताल जहा हर साल लोग दुनिया भर से घूमने आते है यह पहाड़ो के बीच एक खूबसूरत जगह है यह अपने प्राकृतिक सुंदरता,झील,नंदा देवी मंदिर, जंगल सेंट जॉन, सीतावनी मंदिर, हनुमान गिरी, टिफ़िन टॉप, आदि के लिए जाना जाता है यहाँ चारो तरफ का शांत वातावरण लोगो को हर साल अपनी और आकर्षित करता जाता है यहाँ से हिमालय की बर्फीली चोटिया दिखाई देती है जिन्हे देखने के लिए लोग हर साल दूर दूर से आते है यहाँ के कुछ लोग दुनिया के हर छेत्र में यहां से पलायन कर चुके है यह की मुख्य भाषा कुमाउनी है यहाँ के लोगो को दुनिया में कुमाउनी या पहाड़ी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है यहा के हर परिवार से एक लड़का भारतीय सीमा पर भारत की रक्षा करता है जो भारतीय सेना का हिस्सा होता है यहाँ के लड़को में बचपन से ही फौज में जाने का जूनून होता है और इसके लिए वो पहले से ही मेहनत करते रहते है यहा रानीखेत छेत्र में कुमाऊ रेजिमेंट का मुख्यालय मौजूद है

                        उत्तराखंड के मुख्य लोकगीत 

संगीत और नृत्य यहा के लोगो का मुख्य हिस्सा माना जाता है कहा जाता है की यहाँ के लोग संगीत और नृत्य को केवल मनोरजन के रूप में नहीं लेते कुछ लोग इसे भगवान को खुश करने का जरिया बताते है उत्तराखंड का प्रमुख लोकगीत झुमेलो गीत यह गढ़वाल छेत्र में गाया जाने वाला एक गीत है जो वेदना और प्रेम का प्रतीक है इसी के साथ यहाँ कुछ और गीत जैसे बसंती गीत, होली गीत, बाजूबंद गीत, चौफला गीत, चौमासा गीत, बारहमासा गीत, चुरा गीत, जागर गीत, न्योली गीत, हुड़की गीत, मांगला गीत, मनोरजन गीत आदि है यहाँ लोगगीत गाने की प्रथा बहुत सालो से चली आ रही है कोई भी गीत हो यह के लोग उसमे बढ़ चढ़कर हिस्सा लेते है  जो यहाँ की सस्कृति को और भी खास बनता है उत्तरांखड को वीरो का गढ़ भी कहा जाता है यहाँ कुछ प्रशिद्ध गायक भी है जैसे नरेंदर सिंह नेगी इन्होने अपने उत्तराखड राज्य के लिए बहुत से ऐसे गीत गए है जिन्हे उत्तराखंड के लोग आज भी दुनिया में सुनते रहते है 

                              उत्तराखंड के कुछ मुख्य पकवान 

उत्तराखंड का कही नाम आये और वह के  पकवान की बात ना हो कुछ अजीब लगता है आज इस राज्य का लगभग हर व्यक्ति दुनिया के किसी ना किसी होटल में आपको मिल जायेगा यहाँ के लोग खाना बनाने और खाने के बहुत शौकीन होते है यहाँ के लोग दाल भात के साथ काफली, फाणु, झ्वलि जिसे हिंदी भाषा मई कड़ी कहते है चेसु, रेलु , बाड़ी, कोदे व मुगरी की रोटी, आलू की थिचोड़ी, और आलू का झोल, अरसे, बाल मिठाई, भांग की चटनी, झंगोरे की खीर, स्वाला,टिल की चटनी , आदि है वही बाल मिठाई यहाँ की प्रशिद्ध मिठाई है उत्तराखडं में कही उपजाऊ भूमि भी है जहा लोग हर साल दाल, गेहू, धान, झंगोरा, उड़द, गहत आदि फसले उगाई जाती है  जो पूरे साल भर की पैदावार  होती है यहां शादी व्याह लोग पकोडिया, चावल को पीसकर अरसे, स्वाले घर की दाल आदि बनाये जाते है जो कि खाने में स्वादिष्ट होते है गहत और आलू के पराठे यहाँ हर किसी का मन मोह लेते है गहत जो कि एक दाल होती है इसको पीसकर फिर आटे के साथ मिलकर गहत के पराठे बनाये जाते है मंडुए की रोटी जो की यहाँ के लोगो का मुख्य भोजन है यह रोटी स्वादिस्ट होने के साथ ही स्वास्थ्य के लिए बहुत लाभदायक होती है इसे घी के साथ खाने से इसका टेस्ट और भी बढ़ जाता है बाल मिठाई जो की एक चॉक्लेट से बनी होती है यह उत्तराखंड की प्रसिद्ध मिठाई है

Traditional dress of the people here

The attire worn by the people living here reflects the culture and traditions that followed them and has a fair idea about the communities that live there. People from various communities live including Uttarakhand Punjab, Bengali, Tibetan and Nepali. The residents of Garhwal have their own distinct style of wearing clothes due to the cold weather of the place, as a result of which wool derived from sheep or goat is used to prepare woolen clothes. Here women wear saree and men wear kurta pajamas.

  Garhwal Culture

When Uttarakhand was divided into two parts, a part of Garhwal, which has 6 districts of Uttarakhand, Chamoli, Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Pauri, Tehri, Haridwar, Rudraprayag, Garhwal is famous for its high river flowing amidst the lush green valleys. Here come every year to see it, in many villages of this place, very ancient woodwork can be seen even today at some doors of Garhwal. Garhwali language is the main language spoken here. It is said that Garhwali language is originated from a combination of Sauraseni Prakrit, Sanskrit and Western or Middle Pahari language. People of many caste religions live here, including Rajput, which is of Aryan origin. K. Rajput means that the son of the king, today Garhwali Rajputs are found all over the world. People here are known as Garhwalis in the world. Some people They also know by the name of the hill, about 6% of Hindus live in Garhwal, who have migrated from the mountains all over the world today, people of almost all castes live in Garhwal after seeing another mountain from one mountain here. Kumaon has 6 districts of Uttarakhand, which includes Nainital, Almora, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Bageshwar. Some of the main dishes of Uttarakhand
